Elections and appointments to the positions will occur at the June Youth Hockey Committee meeting. If an individual is unable to fulfill a term, the position will be filled at the next regular YHC meeting.

Chair: Serves as facilitator at the meetings. Helps set the agenda, ensures follow-though for old and new business, establishes ad hoc committees as needed and/or recommended by the Youth Hockey Committee (YHC) or the Missoula Area Youth Hockey Association (MAYHA) Board; ensures compliance with USA Hockey, Glacier Ice Rink (GIR), MAYHA, and Youth Hockey rules and regulations.
Vice-Chair: Included in all chair discussions. Steps in for the Chair in her/his absence. Serves as the ‘Chair-in-Waiting’, and will take over for the Chair after the conclusion of his/her term.
Past President: Serves as facilitator at meetings if Chair and Vice-chair are unable to attend; other duties as assigned by the YHC.
Secretary: Records meeting minutes and arranges to have approved minutes posted on the GIR website, distributes draft minutes electronically to the YHC members one week prior to the monthly meeting, obtains agenda from Chair and disseminates (electronically) to all YHC members at least one day prior to the monthly YHC meeting (Chair may take on this duty), and keeps on file all documents/correspondence connected with the organization (Secretary will pass this information on to the succeeding secretary).
Treasurer: Insures that registration fees that are accurately collected and recorded. Provides a list of players with outstanding fees from the prior season to the Youth Hockey Director to insure that only players in good standing are allowed to register for the following season. Establishes a payment schedule for players on fee payment plans. The Treasurer, or other YHC member assisting during youth hockey registration, submits registration fees to the Accounts Manager to be deposited into appropriate accounts and recorded in MAYHA financial records. Records all post-dated checks submitted at registration for fundraising. Turns over post-dated checks to Fundraising Coordinator who also records and then submits the post-dated checks to the Accounts Manager to be held at the rink in a secure location. Receives reports from Accounts Manager regarding declined credit cards and/or NSF checks. Coordinate with travel team managers to assist in reconciling the travel team account per policy.
MAHA Representative: Represents MAYHA interests at all Montana Amatuer Hockey Association (MAHA) meetings, attends all MAHA meetings and reports back to the YHC after these meetings (including teleconferences), solicits YHC input prior to any votes in state organization decisions.
Fundraising Coordinator: Compiles reports of fundraising amounts for youth-hockey-approved functions, assigns coordinators for approved activities, generates regular progress reports to each family (with valid email address), submits checks from unfulfilled fundraising families to GIR business manager for cashing.
Equipment Coordinator: Arranges for distribution of rental equipment and checks equipment back in at end of season, collects rental checks and turns over to Accounts Manager in timely manner, takes on responsibility of (or assign to another) issuing, collecting jerseys.
